Replacing the leaking skylights in the factory has had the added benefit of providing all our lighting needs during the day. This is estimated to save 10% on our power bill.

Following a severe allergic reaction experienced by one of our staff, we are considering the role of TGIC, a hardener found in some powders, in the business. Banning this chemical from our work place is on the cards. This is not expected to dramatically effect our operations because TGIC free powders are dominating the industry.

Multicoat is half way through the program designed to reduce the impact business has on the environment. Reducing our factory lighting is a realistic task. Lighting represents 10 % of our power bill so by replacing our "Hi Bay" lights with fluorescents would be great. So far we have found that the fluros are not as bright!

Multicoat announces that we have commissioned a new natural gas fired cure oven. Length is 3600 mm, width 2600 mm and 3000 mm high. This new oven will overcome many of the limitations we have experienced in the past.
