Minimum Charge 82.50   All prices based on coating of 4 rims in standard dulux colour card colour. We recommend removing the existing coating before any repairs are made to the rim. If the existing coating is damaged, peeling or painted, we recommend removing the existing coating. If the rim is plated, polished or coated with a paint that scrapes off easily with a key, then the coating is removed by blasting. If the coating is powder or a tough two pack paint then the rims are chemically stripped first.  The rims could be blasted (and many do this) but blasting is not a gentle process and the tougher coatings are difficult and time consuming to remove.  Because of this difficulty, we have seen metals damaged by blasting.  To make the blasting easier, and to minimise the chance of damage to the rim, we strip first.
